Obtaining a CInS Certification

STEP 1- Meet the exam eligibility requirements:

To be eligible to register for the CInS exam, an individual must meet ONE of the following criteria:

.  Hold a CInP Certificate plus a minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
.  A minimum of 2 years of professional experience with a Master’s degree or higher.
.  A minimum of 4 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
.  A minimum of 7 years of professional experience with less than a Bachelor’s degree.

In addition, the individual must show proof of the following:

1- Ownership of the GInI Applied Innovation Master Book®.
2- Completion of a minimum of 24 hours of education relating to the CInS certification, conducted by a GInI Authorized Innovation Provider (AInP)® and delivered by a valid Trainer holding a valid GInI certificate in the same subject.


STEP 2 - Apply for and pass the CInS exam

The certification exam has 120 multiple-choice questions which you have 120 minutes to complete. The passing score is 65%.

Maintaining CInS Certification

To maintain your CInS Certification, you must earn 45 Innovation Development Units (IDUs) every 2 years, or retake the CInS® exam.
